So often we think I will be happy when:

  • I fall in love
  • Get married
  • Get divorced
  • Find my soulmate and marry them
  • Have kids
  • When the kids are potty trained
  • When the kids are in school
  • When the kids graduate
  • When the kids move out
  • When I make $__________ of money
  • When I buy a house
  • When I pay off the house
  • When I go on that dream vacation
  • When I retire

 

It seems like people are so busy chasing happiness,

They forget that happiness is not a destination.

Happiness is an in the moment thing.

I promise you; you won’t be happier when …

You reach your goal.

You won’t.

I remember we had our home built 14 years ago.

My cousin had built and moved into 3 homes.

She told me; your custom home will not be perfect.

I didn’t believe her.

After all, we are designing and monitoring the home on each step.

It would be done exactly how we wanted it.

Then we moved in.

I realized:

  • We needed more storage space
  • Our patio was too small
  • The living room and dining room could have been bigger.

Then I understood, our home had flaws.

That is just like your life.

There will never be a point in your life when everything is perfect.

There will always be trials.

There will always be difficulties.

There is not everything is perfect, and you are forever happy.

When you achieve goals and dreams there are other issues that show up.

This is just how life is.

I have a friend that says:

“If I was perfect, I would be dead. But God’s not done with me yet.”

So, I want you to consider that chasing happiness is like:

Chasing a mirage.

Instead, why not do the work to be happy right here and right now.

My mentor earns millions of dollars a year.

Yet she says if she lost everything,

She could be happy in a trailer park.

Can you see happiness is not a destination?

It is a conscious choice.

No matter what is happening right now in your life,

You can choose to be happy.

You do this be working on the thoughts and feelings

That causes you to not feel happy.

You do this with daily Thought Downloads

Being happy, truly happy,

Not faking it till you make it,
