The year is almost done.

Soon you will be reflecting on the past year.

For many it could be one more year of disappointment.

You had dreams, hopes and desires.

But as the year draws to a close, those goals may not have been reached.

I am not talking about the goal of money or career success.

Although there is nothing wrong with those goals.

And often the sexual abuse that a woman has experienced keeps her from success in life.

Right now, I am talking about heart goals.

About healing goals.

Are you fully healed from the past sexual abuse?

Are you free from it?

Not triggered by it?

If not, then 2019 can be your year of healing!

Start by asking yourself:

What is my goal for healing?

Be specific.

Don’t judge, don’t sensor.

Just dream.

Do you want to:

Be free of triggers.

Put your past in the past and have it stay there.

Feel wanted, worthy and loved.

Feel free of blame and shame.

Be open and trusting with your spouse.

Feel comfortable with intimacy with your spouse.

Whatever your goal is, write it down.

Now ask yourself why you don’t believe you can reach this goal?

What is in the way?

What is stopping you?

Ask yourself who do you know that has reached a similar goal?

What attributes do they have that would help you reach your goal?

How would they overcome the believes and obstacles that are in your way?

What would they do to achieve this goal of healing?

Now brainstorm everything you could do to achieve your goal of healing.

Start taking steps to do the things you brainstormed.

Make 2019 the year that you are fully healed from the past sexual abuse.

Make 2019 the year of your personal freedom!
