Self-care is always important but never more so then when you are doing your healing work. Here are some ways to make sure you are giving yourself good self-care:

  1. Get a good night’s sleep. Research shows women need 7-9 hours of sleep a night.
  2. Eat healthy food. It is easy to overeat junk food or overdrink. Instead choose healthy protein, vegetables, fruit, healthy fats and a minimum of 64 ounces of plain water every day.
  3. Exercise. Even a 10-minute walk helps to boost levels of dopamine in your brain helping you to feel better.
  4. Surround yourself with supportive people.
  5. Journal, do a thought download, practice transforming your thoughts using The Model. Just ten minutes of thought work a day will help transformer your negative thoughts.
  6. Here are some thoughts you can practice thinking:
  •      I am guided
  •      Everything is as it should be.
  •      Everything happens for me.
  •      It was meant to happen the way it did.
  •      I am exactly as I should be.
  •      I am not my mind – I am the Watcher of my mind.
  •      Unconditional love is something I do for myself.
  •      I’m responsible for everything I think and feel.
  •      It’s not what we do – it’s who we are.
  •      There’s nothing wrong with me.
  •      I am enough.
  •      Nothing has gone wrong here.
  •     We’re here to get to do the work of ourselves.
  •     My purpose is the life I am living now.
