It has been a year and a half since I started down the Life Coach road. And I am proud to announce that I have just received, not one, but two Certifications!

This is an honor I don’t take lightly, nor should you. Currently there are so many people using the title Coach. Becoming a Coach is not just a title you assign yourself. There is serious training, skills, proper practices to be learned, and ethics to be upheld. Living a life or time spent in a career does not make you a coach. Also, the types of coaching available is large and diverse.

I am a Certified Life Coach and Certified Weight Loss Coach. You will often hear me use the terms Life Coach and Mindset Coach interchangeably. As a Life Coach, I guide you to notice, examine and transform the thoughts and feelings that are stopping you from getting the results you want anywhere in your life or career. This is why my business is called Spark Mindset Coaching.

As a Weight Loss Coach I am now certified in two different programs. The first is Optavia (formerly Take Shape For Life). My second Weight Loss Coach certification is through The Life Coach School. This newest certification is not specifically program driven. Instead I help you examine and transform the thoughts and feelings that have you continually sabotaging yourself and not loosing or keeping the weight off.

These new certifications give me the ability to coach you in many different areas of your life and/or career. Moving forward my primary focus will be to work with women who are survivors of sexual abuse. However, I have worked with, and will continue to work with individuals, couples and businesses on a varied of issues.

So many people believe that their life is just how it is. Nothing could be further from the truth! Working with me as your coach will give you the tools to create the life you have always dreamed of. It will allow you to heal old wounds, restore relationships, reach goals that previously seemed out of reach, start a new career, take your business to the next level. Whatever you desire, I can help you achieve it. Here is why:

  1. First and foremost, I do my own personal work. I continue to not only coach myself but to be coached by other Certified Coaches. This allows me to be clear and neutral when working with you.
  2. I “stay out of the pool” and don’t bring my agenda to your coaching session. My only job is to stay neutral and to show you your mind, your thoughts, feelings, actions and results. You won’t get opinions from me. My opinions aren’t valid. All that matters are the answers you will find for yourself when you work with me. These are answers that you could not find on your own.
  3. I will give you tools and teach you how to use them to coach yourself. This way you can continue your mindset work after you have completed your time with me.
  4. I provide you with a free complimentary sample session. This way you can try before you buy.

One final note: It takes a village and I want to be sure to thank the village that has walked this journey to Certification with me. First, I want to thank Melissa and John Niece who six years ago helped me take my first steps from the 9-5 corporate world to the entrepreneur and health coaching world. Melissa spent more hours than I can count over the past six years helping and supporting me. Next, I would like to thank Bill Tierney for helping me to see that I could become a Life Coach and for the six months of one-on-one training. I want to thank Brooke Castillo and The Life Coach School along with my personal Coach Trainers Bev and Rebekah. A year and a half ago when I started listening to Brooke’s podcasts, I never dreamed I would actually meet and be coached in person by her. I am so grateful for Brooke and everyone at The Life Coach School. I also want to thank my peer coaching buddy Louise for all the hours of coaching and support that we have shared over the last three months. Finally, and most of all I want to thank my husband, Chuck. Without his never-ending support, I would not be where I am today!
